Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, NC – Meritage Homes is pleased to announce that the company will expand into four new communities of single family homes throughout the Triangle area in 2013.

In addition to the company’s existing Triangle communities, Meritage recently announced homes under construction in Chatham County’s premier gated community, Legacy at Jordan Lake. Meritage will continue to grow their portfolio in the first quarter of 2013, as the company begins construction of new homes in Baileys Creek in Cary and Saddlebrook in Wake Forest. Also, in mid to late February, Meritage will begin new home construction in Raleigh’s Braxton Pointe. The company is finishing plans for opening their Trenton Pointe neighborhood in Raleigh in the third quarter of 2013.  These four new communities, in addition to the company’s entry in Legacy at Jordan Lake, represent 208 homesites throughout the Triangle.

Meritage incorporates energy efficient homes that go beyond the HERS ratings of other national homebuilders as well as surpass the Federal requirements to make every home 100% ENERGY STAR® certified. Meritage has perfected the incorporation of these unique standards in building techniques and energy efficient features at no extra cost to the home buyer. Large living spaces, gourmet kitchens, downstairs and/or dual master bedrooms, and owner’s entries name just a few of the exceptional features found in Meritage homes.

“We’re excited to be building in the Raleigh market,” says Raleigh Division President Ryan Wells. “Our award-winning Meritage Green energy-efficiency platform has really resonated with home buyers in the Triangle, and we’re happy to have closed over 100 homes during our first year of operations in the market. We’re extremely appreciative of the customers who have put their faith in us, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to take care of both our existing customers and those we look forward to working with in the future.”
