By: National Resource Network Veterans’ Hope of Washington D.C. announced its partnership with Manpower To Horsepower, Inc., (MP2HP) a North Carolina motorsports academy early this morning. Founded by Sue Roberson, and acting CEO/President of the program, Manpower To Horsepower mentors Veterans in the technical art of race mechanics and industry management. Co-Branding with Armed Forces Racing, an awareness hybrid of Veterans’ Hope, the academy is expanding into an accredited University to offer its programs across America. In 2013, Manpower To Horsepower will add four new campus locations, providing a greater number of Veterans an opportunity to receive the most competitive training in a customized classroom, tailored to specific military-related disabilities, and an introduction to a rewarding career in professional motorsports. The new partnership will allow Manpower To Horsepower to advance its curriculum of shop and classroom, while adding the AFR Apprentice Program at speedways nationwide. All undergraduates will be individually mentored with hands-on education to gain one-of-a-kind advantages in this demanding field. Manpower has established a competitive history in the Open Wheel and Super Late Model with Warrior Race Cars. Roberson also has extensive background in the NHRA, which will prove an added benefit to Armed Forces Racing in 2013. With the involvement of Armed Forces Racing, Manpower will expand its NHRA program and include new programs in NASCAR, AMA and Lucas Oil Off-Road Series. Veterans’ Hope oversees the National Resource Network of Veteran-based affiliates to umbrella hundreds of necessary resources directly to Veterans in need. Veterans' Hope chairman, Ms. Al Zeitner states, "The partnership between Veterans’ Hope, Armed Forces Racing and Manpower To Horsepower will bring distinguished support and re-ablements to the many Veterans with ingenuity unidentified by corporate America. We look forward to connecting these well-deserved Veterans into new, meaningful endeavors." As the rallying mechanism under Veterans’ Hope, AFR broadcasts the Veteran message to America, competing in multiple professional series. "Armed Forces Racing was created solely to improve the lives of the American military, both active duty and Veterans." Chris Johnson, Vice President of AFR says, "We wouldn't be racing if it weren’t for the sacrifices these heroes have made for Our Country." The 2013 race season will start their engines in Daytona with all Manpower To Horsepower cars co-branded with Armed Forces Racing. Together, the organizations will spread the message of Veteran support to one of the largest and most loyal fan bases in the world.
