Punjab and Sind Bank Chooses Surmount Energy as its Green Consultant

Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Punjab & Sind Bank (P&SB), a major Public Sector bank in Northern India has chosen Surmount Energy for Green Consultancy Services towards achieving it GRIHA certification requirements for one of its branches in Fort, Mumbai. P&SB has more than 1100 branches and offices spread throughout India, almost 450 are in Punjab state, though the bank's corporate headquarters is in New Delhi. Surmount Energy will be facilitating the GRIHA certification for the Punjab & Sind Bank project which is commercial building of about 300 sq.m.

GRIHA is a green building evaluation system that has been conceived by TERI and developed jointly with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India. In accordance with the Office Memorandum by Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), government of India, Association for Development and Research for Sustainable Habitats (ADaRSH) has proposed a procedure that will enable fast track environmental clearance through GRIHA pre-certification. ADaRSH promotes GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) as a design & evaluation tool for Green Buildings and Habitats. Surmount will be handling all aspects of the project certification including the facilitation, documentation and building performance analytics needed for the targeted green certifications.
