Jan. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- With a brand new trailer, the D.C. comedy webseries “Confab” announced that it will begin airing on Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 at 9:30 PM EST. “Thrilled! Just pumped to let people be entertained by our dynamite cast and sharp scripts,” raved the show’s creator Erik Cieslewicz, “I can’t wait to see ‘Confab’ in the Facebook, Reddit and YouTube era of the internet; an era when everyone hangs out in the same spaces and not just insular niche communities. This show has a lot to offer anyone.”

“Confab” will premiere via Google Hangout where audience members will be able to chat with cast and crew live before, during and after the show’s airing. This unique event continues “Confab’s” embrace of cutting edge technology around its format as a golden-era sitcom. New episodes will air every two weeks, and premiere in similar fashion on Google Hangouts with the makers of the show. After each episode premieres it will also be available on demand thru the Confab website, YouTube and Vimeo.

Cieslewicz beamed, “When you think of the great sitcoms of the past, like ‘Cheers’ and ‘Friends,’ you think of friends or family all gathering together to watch it together. ‘Confab’ will bring that feeling back with friends and family across the world by airing our episodes in a way I haven’t heard being done by anyone from indie producers to the biggest Hollywood studios.

“Technology is literally making the old new again.”

“Confab” follows four college juniors in Washington, D.C. through the most incredible semester of their lives. A situation comedy with relatable characters, the show delivers over the top antics and hilarious insight on life, love and pop culture. Everyman Milo (Joshua Dick), armchair philosopher Floze (Christian Campbell), coffee shop hipster Deb (Laura Muschelli) and sorority sister Sandy (Caroline O’Grady) meet every day in the same place on campus. Their lives intersect in this small section of the Union where they confabulate over the novelties of the day.

Produced by Ali Walton, Kevin Finkelstein and Paul Schadd, “Confab” is a Frozen Penguin Productions, LLC project. For more information visit the show’s web-site: http://watchconfab.com
