Strictly Sail Chicago Returns to Navy Pier in Chicago

Dec. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Back for its eighteenth year, the Strictly Sail Chicago Boat Show returns to Navy Pier January 24 to 27, 2013. For sailboat owners and enthusiasts alike, this four-day event is the largest indoor sailing show in the country and the only one like it in the Midwest. Come and enjoy this fine maritime sport and pastime with some of the best that the contemporary sailing industry has to offer.

Hours of the festival are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Weekday tickets are $12.00 and weekend tickets are $15.00 for adults, while children ages 15 and under accompanied by an adult get in free. Learn about the finest sailboats and sailing products being produced today from the more than 250 international and domestic sailing companies that will be present at the show. The Strictly Sail boat show is designed to offer exciting opportunities for both novice sailors and experts alike.

Included with the price of admission, every hour of the festival will feature presentations, seminars, and hands-on activities for everyone who attends the event. The Author’s Corner will offer exciting tales of maritime exploits while informative and hands on seminars will take an in depth look at the newest in sailing technology from some of the foremost experts around the world.

Each day’s interactive seminars will give beginners the chance to learn the basics of sailing, while more advanced seminars will focus on repairing, maintaining, and improving the operation of a sailing vessel.
