Dec. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- This year was witness to great achievements by the Kary Movers teams, management and most importantly the leadership of ownership. Kary Movers expanded several years ago with the acquisition of BC Careful Movers & Delivery. This year though the owners bought out Coop's Moving Ltd, Starving Students Moving Ltd and then expanded to a new storage warehouse in the Bridgeview area of Surrey, BC. that was quickly filled by our growing list of clients so a second warehouse space was added in Bridgeview.

What was accomplished for the community this year? Well many things come to mind and it seems the owners have something constantly going on to support the many communities which we serve throughout Western Canada. Some of the most significant include the assisting of an elderly gentleman with some confusion to get assistance, support and a new home in Harrison Hot Springs. Also the dedication the ownership, management and ownership to environmental issues and out team volunteering for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, cleaning the garbage off out our shoreline in White Rock.

The apartment fire in Maple Ridge saw dozens of residents forced from their homes in this three story building. Several grow ops were located on the third floor but has been ruled out as a cause of the fire. Regardless, dozens were left homeless and were unable to return to their individual apartments to retrieve what few personal items were left after the fire and resulting smoke and water damage took hold of what the flames did not. The crews from Kary Movers stepped in and dressed in Tyvek suits and respiratory protection after a call from the fire chief. They recovered everything they could for the residents and the owners donated a month of storage so the residents could find new homes. The teams worked from early morning till late at night to make it happen in the timeline required.

Then the Surrey Food Bank was in a tough spot during the most crucial Christmas food drive. With bad weather and a need to pick up all donations from many locations throughout the city, Kary Movers ownership donated use of two trucks everyday, all week long plus the fuel costs to ensure all donations were collected. This included tens of thousands of tonnes of food and thousands of dollars in financial donations. The staff at Kary Movers stepped up and donated at least one day of free service to travel around the city picking up those donations. Some staff volunteered several days including one of the companies owners. It was a huge success. All donations were collected and delivered to the Surrey Food Bank in time for Christmas distribution.

Kary Movers takes part in many activities in order to help the community which they serve. Also in an honest effort to encourage other local companies and national corporations to also step up and assist those in need. We need to ensure that the people most vulnerable and in need of a hand up are not forgotten in the name of corporate profits.

So as you say good-bye to yet another year, stop and remember that it is the communities in which you work that allow you the privilege to stay in business and serve them. They are the true reason you prosper, even in time of challenge and financial downturns. If you forget that you are there to serve them, you will fail in business. So, with that in mind we at Kary Movers wish to thank our customers throughout Western Canada and worldwide for allowing us to serve you and allow our company to continue. may the new year bring you much new opportunity and success.  Thank you for continuing to allow us to serve your local, long-distance and international moving & storage needs.

Thank you also for the many votes in the Small Business BC Awards for supporting our three nominations this year for awards as follows;

Employer of the Year

Online Marketing

We look forward to a great 2013 and look forward to our amazing clients of past and present as without them we would have no future. Happy New Year!
