Dec. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Multi-award winning child actor Anthony Michael Hobbs stars in the current advertising campaign for United Way. On January 8, 2013 the Baltimore actor co-stars as a young Frederick Douglass in the PBS Special “The Abolitionist,” starring Richard Brooks (“Law & Order,” The Crow) who plays an adult Frederick Douglass.

December started the new United Way PSA campaign that stars the seven year-old actor Anthony Hobbs. The spot airs this month in Central Maryland (PSA: http://vimeo.com/54017197). In addition, Hobbs co-stars in the PBS Special documentary “The Abolitionist,” starring actor/director/singer Richard Brooks as Frederick Douglas, one of five abolitionists highlighted that rallied to end slavery (Trailer: http://video.pbs.org/video/2294198301). The three-hour documentary airs January 8, 15 and 23, 2013 as part of PBS’ American Experience Series.

Anthony Michael Hobbs’ big moves don’t stop there he stars in the PBS Sprout Network mini-segment on the ‘Sunnyside Up Show,’ to air March, 2013. On top of that the talented young artor stars in another PSA spot for the American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) that started airing in October.

Hobbs also stars in the DreamWorks documentary “How To Train Your Dragon: Dragons and Dinosaurs” that premiered at “Live Dragon” shows, (http://dreamworksdragonslive.com/), earlier this year throughout Australia ending in the United States. The DreamWorks documentary is also available on DVD.

The DreamWorks "How to Train Your Dragon: Dragons and Dinosaurs" documentary explores the history and mythology of dragons and how that history relates to dinosaurs.

He also stars in the “SkWids” kids’ on-line Internet show at www.SkWids.com, an on-line version of such children oriented shows as “Sesame Street.” Produced by Southwestern Advantage, “SkWids" is a program designed to entertain and educate children (ages 6 – 10).

Hobbs can also be seen in the national classroom program called KinderRhyme. KinderRhyme is a program of Success for All Foundation (SFAF), which appears in over 2600 preschool, elementary, middle and high school programs.

The multi-award winning actor can also be seen on two other PBS Sprout Network segments, “Claritin Kids Allergy Medicine” and “Good Night Show”. As a voice over actor Anthony’s voice can be heard on an instructional video for advertising firm TBWA World Wide - the largest advertising holding company in the world.

Other acting projects include the film Waiting for Godot; an industrial commercial for the U.S. National Parks Services; a Baltimore County Recycling commercial; a Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger commercial, and Hobbs appeared in USDA’s Healthy Kids 2011 print campaign.
