Second Book in DTR Inc.’s Work Readiness Training Series, Workplace Skills, Now Available
This book, Workplace Skills, along with the first book, Workplace Basics, can be used for classroom or on the job work readiness training programs. Certification tests and PowerPoint presentations are also available.
At the end of each book are two workplace scenarios where things go right and things go wrong. There will be online certification tests for each module that ask questions based on these scenarios.
If a training venue or business does not want to use DTR Inc.’s certification process, that venue can use these scenarios as excellent read and discuss exercises at the end of their training sessions.
In addition to teaching workplace behavior and skills, the books explain why the topics taught are important to businesses, and why the employees’ success in life is tied very closely to the success of employer for whom they work.
The topics in Workplace Skills are: time management, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, report generation, ethics, task completion, using procedure manuals, importance of continuing education, and more. In order to accomplish these skills, the proper use of reading, writing, and mathematics is explored since the way most were taught these topics in school does not apply in the workplace.
The book is available at Amazon.com and will soon have (or does have) the look inside feature or at the book’s web site http://www.createspace.com/
