Dec. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- The organized sector in India is set to create about 1.1 million new jobs in the calendar year 2013, Calendar Year 2012 was able to create around 7 Lacs jobs, reveals the latest results of MyHiringClub.com & FlikJobs.com Employment Trend Survey (MFETS) 2013, one of the largest study on the Indian employment trends and opportunities.

According to MFETS 2013, the survey of 4453 companies across 12 industry sectors in 21 major cities indicates that most employers are optimistic with their hiring plans for the New Year 2013.

Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi & NCR and Chennai took the top four places generating a total of 3,23,433 jobs.

In 2013, FMCG sector will lead the table and is expected to generate 1,76,900 new Jobs followed by Healthcare (1,72,800), IT & ITeS (1,69,800) Hospitality (1,06,300) and Retail (1,02,800).

Mumbai, Delhi NCR & Bangalore will retain their top slots generating a total of 2,69,178 jobs among them.

FMCG: Total Employee Base: 33,29,400 New Jobs: 1,76,900

The growth of consumer goods sector, food, textiles, leather & related products and the increase in domestic demand is expected to create significant number of new jobs in this sector. This sector is expected to add 1,76,900 jobs and grow at a rate of 5.3%.

Healthcare: Total Employee Base: 27,45,400 New Jobs: 1,72,800

Penetration of Health Insurance and health care awareness, expansion to Tier II & Tier III Cities are opening up new avenues for employment generation. The increasing demand of medical tourism & alternative therapies are also creating new job opportunities. This sector is expected to grow at a rate of 6.2% and also lead the table by creating 1,72,800 jobs in 2013.

IT & ITeS: Total Employee Base: 22,42,900 New Jobs: 1,69,800

The IT & ITES sectors is India’s one of the largest employment generators in the organized sector. The responses from the surveyed companies suggest that the sector will trying hard to come out from all fears in 2013 as well. This sector is expected to add a total of 1,69,000 jobs and will expected a growth rate of 7.5%.

Hospitality: Total Employee Base: 31,23,500 New Jobs: 1,06,300

This sector is expected to add one Lac plus jobs this year. A large scale investment in hotel infrastructure in major cities as well as Tier II & Tier III cities has lead to the boom in the sector resulting in significant creation of jobs in all levels. This sector is expected to grow at a rate 3.4% and add 1,06,300 jobs.

Retail: Total Employee Base: 9,76,900 New Jobs: 1,02,800

FDI, increase in India’s export, International trade and the immense growth of the retail sector will lead to significant number of jobs being generated in this sector. Spread of retail chains in the Tier II & Tier III cities will be create more jobs. This sector is expected to grow at a rate of 10.5% in 2013 adding 1,02,800 jobs.

Education, Training and Consultancy: Total Employee Base: 76,52,300 New Jobs: 84,200

The increasing demand of job oriented education in students and the expansion by private players to Tier II & Tier III cities will create more number of jobs in this sector. This sector is expected to add 84,200 jobs and grow at a rate of 1.1%.

Banking & Financial Services: Total Employee Base: 8,89,760 New Jobs: 72,900

Performance of Banking & Financial Sector is not so excited and this industry is moving almost on stable pace. This sector is expected to add 72,900 jobs and grow at a rate of 8.1%.

Media and Entertainment: Total Employee Base: 11,67,100 New Jobs: 66,400

Digitalisation in every sector and digital lifestyle of rural & urban population are providing a lift to this industry. This sector is expected to add 66,400 jobs and grow at a rate of 5.6%.

Real Estate & Construction: Total Employee Base: 859,312 New Jobs: 51,400

This sector had experienced higher growth in past three years. Construction is a big booster for the employment growth and the current infrastructure development drive. This sector is expected to add 51,400 jobs and grow at a rate of 5.9%.

Manufacturing – Engineering/Machinery: Total Employee Base: 9,74,500 New Jobs: 63,200

Higher inflation remains a cause of concern for a sustained long term growth and success. This sector is expected to add 63,200 jobs and grow at a rate of 6.5%.

Pharma: Total Employee Base: 3,48,500 New Jobs: 43,300

Increasing demand of Indian Parma Sector in international market is leading towards create more jobs in country. Indian Pharma sector has grown significantly and is expected to show double digit growth in 2013. This sector is expected to grow at a rate 12.4% in 2013 and add 43,300 jobs.

Power & Renewable Energy: Total Employee Base: 947,000 New Jobs: 29,870

Renewable energy sector is expected to generate more number of jobs in the coming years. Overall Energy sector remained weak during last two years. This sector is expected to grow at a rate of 3.1%, the lowest among all sectors & add 24,900 jobs during 2013.

Employment trends city-wise:

•    Delhi & NCR is expected to retain its number one position in 2013 too. The city is expected to create 112,234 new Jobs in 2013.
•     Mumbai is expected to generate 107,713 new jobs in 2013 making it the second leading city in new Job generation in the country.
•     The expectation reported by companies in Bangalore suggests further growth during 2013 and the city is expected to generate 49,231 new jobs and be the third largest new job generator in the country.
•     Pune is expected to generate 18,341 new Jobs in 2013.
•     Positive momentum in job generation is expected in Chennai and the city is expected to generate 38,135 jobs in 2013.
•     Kolkata is expecting to generate 33,490 new Jobs.
•     Many sectors have shown substantial growth in employment in Hyderabad and the city is expected to generate 11,560 new Jobs in 2013.
•     The employment growth in Ahmedabad is expected to be stable during 2013 and the city is expected to generate 9,421 new jobs.
