Executive Chef Jordan Andino To Appear on the GingerNewYork TV Show, MNN Studios, NYC

Dec. 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Jordan Andino was born in Toronto, Canada. At the age of 10, he moved to Los Angeles, California with his mother.  His father, a chef, remained in Toronto.  
Jordan would visit his dad every summer and on school breaks, most of it it in the kitchens were his father worked. Because of this early immersion into the culinary world, Jordan passion for cooking flourished, as he worked every aspect of the kitchen ranging from dishwashing to pizza making and pastries to pantries.

Starting at age 10, Jordan would begin his gastronomic vocation in some of the best kitchens in Toronto, Canada. With frequent summer visits and internships at North 44, Rosewater Supper Club, and Flow Restaurant and Lounge; Jordan would work every imaginable position and station by the time he turned 16.
Armed with countless hours of restaurant experience, he would try his hand at being a personal chef for families in his neighborhood of Manhattan Beach, California. With his slogan: “Fully catered dinner parties in under 4 hours, including cleanup!” he took the beach community by storm working as a personal chef from the ages of 15-18.

At 18, Jordan decided that it was time to start training for the real world and start working at restaurants that could further his culinary drive and ambition. After a stage at Jean Georges in NYC, he trained at Wolfgang Puck’s flagship restaurant, Spago, in Beverly Hills. Because of these two jobs, his resume was built and ready to tackle his greatest challenge yet, training at The French Laundry in Yountville, CA under Thomas Keller.

By the age of 21, Jordan had a total of 8 Michelin stars experience and was on his way to graduating from the top hospitality school in world, Cornell University’s Hotel School of Administration.

Within the past two years, Jordan has been the executive chef of 5 restaurants and been the culinary consultant for HEI Hospitality. He has been featured, on CBS, Fox and the Wall Street Journal. Currently, Jordan works at Side Bar and Little Town NYC located at Union Square. He is also the executive chef of Little Town Restaurant Row and does consulting and catering for Hudson Terrace Night Club and iAdventure group discount company.
