Dec. 21, 2012 - PRLog -- (Los Angeles, CA)- December 7, 2012—Italian classical music group Il Volo (Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble) contributes vocally to an original song  “Luna Nascosta,” written by Oscar-winning Composer Luis Bacalov (Il Postino) and with lyrics by Oscar-nominee Tony Renis (Quest for Camelot), Massimo Guantini, and Humberto Gatica for Universal International Pictures Hidden Moon.  “Luna Nascosta” is produced by Tony Renis, Humberto Gatica, and David Franco, who is also the film’s music supervisor.

Hidden Moon is a romantic drama in which a beautiful Latin woman named Miranda (Ana Serradilla) appears at the funeral of an affluent Southern California man, shocking his family.  The man’s son, Victor (Wes Bentley), is determined to uncover the nature of the woman’s relationship with his father, so he follows her to Guanajuato, Mexico to pursue what becomes an engaging mystery.  The film is directed by Jose Pepe Bojorquez and written by Bojorquez and David Howard.

Il Volo became an international sensation after the teenagers won a televised competition on the Italian show Ti Lascio Una Canzone with their performance of the song “O Solo Mio” in 2009.  With Tony Renis and Michelle Torpedine’s help as the group’s managers, Il Volo landed a worldwide recording contract with Universal Music for their self-titled first album in 2010.  Since then, Il Volo has dazzled audiences with performances such as “We Are the World: 25 for Haiti” (produced by Quincy Jones).  Il Volo has worked with Barbara Streisand, appeared on numerous television shows including Good Day New York and The Tonight Show, and just recently, they were featured performers at the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting ceremony in New York City.  The trio next performs at a Nobel Peace Prize concert honoring the European Union in Oslo, Norway on December 11, 2012.
