-- Belle Chevre's new made-for-grocery-
retail cheesecakes are the hot new item in bakery and frozen desserts. Made with artisan goat cheese, these cheesecakes have garnered recognition from Gourmet Retailer magazine and The Nibble as a top editor pick.
Gourmet Retailer magazine and The Nibble have recognized Belle Chevre’s new goat cheese cheesecakes with top honors and awards. The cheesecakes were announced a 2012 Editor’s Pick by Gourmet Retailer magazine and a “Top Pick” by The Nibble, meeting with rave reviews after only a few months on shelves.
The cheesecakes are made fresh and with all natural ingredients, including Belle Chevre’s very own handmade Alabama goat cheese. They’re “a divine mix of goat cheese and cream cheese”, according the The Nibble. “When Belle Chevre’s cheesecake arrived, we devoured it.” The cheesecake is lighter than the typical cheesecake, since goat cheese is both higher in protein and lower in calories and fat than cream cheese. The cheesecakes are 27 ounces, six inches in diameter, and retail for $29.95. The cheesecakes can be slacked out and have an extended shelf life when frozen.
“We are so honored by this praise,” says Belle Chevre omxsg president Tasia Malakasis. “This unique product is meeting with great success…one bite and customers are hooked!” The cheesecakes sell at grocery chains nationwide and are available for purchase from www.bellechevre.com, as well as various online retailers such as Taigan. Smaller cheese boutiques and gourmet groceries also stock the cheesecake
Belle Chevre has produced a variety of internationally acclaimed chevres since 1989 using time-tested European farmstead techniques. The company is purposefully small, and each chevre is hand made in Alabama by its passionate cheese makers. Belle Chèvre cheeses have received numerous national awards from the American Cheese Society and the American Dairy Goat Association, and have been featured by Martha Stewart, Oprah, and everyone in between.
