Dec. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Forums and message boards fill a very important role in the Internet and were one of the first types of social networks, where communities sprung up around topics that interested them. Unfortunately while the information provided by forums is essential, forums have not evolved much since their conception. looks to change this by pairing forums down to their base essential, removing the distracting and gaudy themes that plague online message boards and incorporating elements of social network websites to improve the feeling of community. is set-up in pages, where each page contains a forum. Sample pages are Music or Movies and can be more generally if the community suffices for it, such as a distinct Hip-Hop page separate from the general music page. Any user can create a page and make it public or private. Here's the list of current pages now as an example

The interesting idea behind forumreadr, besides the modern look, is the incorporation of social network aspects. You can friend posters that you like or have similar interests as you and follow them. You can see their activity and posts easily on their profile so you can follow their discussions to discover new topics that interest you. You also receive notifications when someone replies to something you posted, allowing you to easily manage conversations. Their is also a global activity stream that is filterable so you can see new topics and new pages as they are created in real time.

Registration is super easy, so try it out and help the community develop
