All-Wheel Drive Coming To The Dodge Charger For 2013
Dodge recently revealed plans for all-wheel drive versions of the popular Charger and Charger Sport.
Dodge is seeking to offer an even greater value to drivers by bundling formerly optional features together in the form of the 2013 Dodge Charger AWD Sport. Drivers in and around the greater Chicago area are likely intimately familiar with just how difficult winter driving can be, which makes the option for all-wheel drive a wise one.
Not only will these new Charger Sport models be able to get drivers through some of the harshest conditions, but they will also include features such as a gloss black grille border, rear spoiler, and unique 19-inch wheels sporting all-season tires.
By adding on a recalibrated transmission with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel and pairing it with a slightly upgraded 3.6L V6 engine, Dodge is doing their best to ensure that drivers get their money's worth. Although the engine has been upgraded to an output of 300 hp from a new exhaust system and cold air intake, fuel economy improves to an EPA-estimated 27 mpg on the highway.
At this point, the cost of the upgrade is already well-covered, but the new Dodge adds on an upgraded stereo system, featuring eight speakers and two subwoofers as well.
These all-wheel drive models are expected to be in dealerships within the first half of 2013, giving drivers plenty of time to break them in and get comfortable before needing to take advantage of their all-weather versatility.
To keep informed on both of these new vehicles, including when they will be available for purchase, curious drivers should contact DuPage Dodge online. Their dealership can also be reached via phone at 630-653-4060 or in person at 433 East North Avenue in Glendale Heights. In addition to carrying the latest models of Dodge vehicles, they also feature lineups of new Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram autos as well as a variety of pre-owned options.
