Idea Rebel Partners with London Drug for Season of Giving

Idea Rebel got together with London Drugs to give back this holiday season. London Drugs was looking for a way to help those in need over the holiday season. Idea Rebel set them up with a platform to increase their client base while also giving back.
Dec. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- London Drugs was looking for a way to give back this season and they came to Idea Rebel for help. Together we created a Facebook app that donates money to the Salvation Army through Facebook “likes”.

The idea is simple: the platform asks users to “like” London Drug’s Facebook page to add an additional $1 donation to the Salvation Army for every new fan they receive. Using social media as an channel for charitable giving is becoming increasingly popular and it was a great opportunity to take advantage of this avenue. The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in Canada, supporting the country’s most vulnerable people. They are extremely deserving of the donation.

The Facebook app has been a huge success, with users eager to see donations rise. Because of the overwhelming support they have received, London Drugs has increased their initial donation of $5,000 to $15,000 this holiday season.

Idea Rebel loves the opportunity to give back to our community and the London Drugs app does just that.
