Collaborative efforts by Business schools to support the Board-Ready women Initiative

Dec. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- The global Board Ready woman (GBRW) searchable database has been developed to promote woman with profiles and experience that are worthy of the Board room. The database allows women with similar backgrounds to make themselves visible to recruiters and employers that require certain experience or to match criteria for the roles.

The global corporate governance has been actively promoting gender equality within the board rooms in publicly quoted companies in Europe, the efforts have been put together with leading MBA Schools throughout Europe including, London Business School, the European Commission and senior Executive Woman’s Group.

Hence we're thrilled to support the much-needed Board Ready Women initiative, which will help women who are aspiring to be on, or who already serve on a board, connect with companies, recruiters and peers. The list is overseen by the Financial Times Non-Executive Directors’ Club and is present on the LinkedIn social Business Platform. This has enabled it to get a global outreach and as of now stands at 8000 plus profiles for woman who are either capable of taking station on Boards or already have prior experience serving on Boards.

To further add to this Initiative the selected candidates for the GBRW searchable database are also linked to the BoardEx’s Profiles and have access to the database which consists of 500,000 plus corporations and companies. The woman from prestigious MBA schools will highly benefit from this initiative especially with the backing of Schools across Europe.
