QA Graphics’ Dashboard Honored with 2013 Top Products Award

Top Products is an award program that recognizes the year’s most popular products as deemed by building owners and facilities management professionals in a nationwide survey. The nominees were drawn from product releases submitted by suppliers and manufacturers throughout the year for publication in Building Operating Management magazine and FacilitiesNet.com. Through an extensive process, 18 different surveys were sent randomly to nearly 100,000 industry professionals. For the 2013 awards, readers chose 78 winners out of 560 product releases.  The winning product releases will be featured in the January 2013 issue of Building Operating Management magazine.

QA Graphics was honored for the release of 3.0 of the Data Manager, a component of the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard.     This is the second time that the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard is honored as a Top Product. The solution was also a 2009 Top Product award recipient.

Version 3.0 of the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard allows the product to access building performance data for multiple buildings and multiple locations and deploy that information via touchscreens, kiosks, the web, and mobile devices.  Using the Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard for occupant awareness complements the traditional energy management system. It takes the data that is already available from the existing building automation system and presents it in a way that’s more visual and easy to understand for educational purposes.

The interactive solution commonly includes educational features such as a LEED checklist or other building scorecard, quizzes, green tips, and interactive demonstrations that illustrate how different building features work, like day lighting, geothermal systems, and green roofs.  Additional features allow the dashboard to be used for all display needs, including news feeds, calendar, menu, area attractions, sponsor information, school curriculum and other custom solutions. The Energy Efficiency Education Dashboard also contributes towards satisfying points towards green building certification programs including the U.S. Green Building Council’s® Innovation in Design Green Education and Innovation in Design School as a Teaching Tool credits under LEED®, a variety of points under The Green Building Initiative’s™ Green Globes® green building rating and assessment system, and the Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS).
