Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A. Announces the Promotion of Two Exceptional Leaders

Dec. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A. (BLS), a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Delaware and Pennsylvania, is proud to announce the promotions of Jonathan D. Moll, CPA to Director and David W. Jennings, CPA to Principal.

Jonathan D. Moll, CPA has been named Director in the firm’s Accounting & Auditing Department. Jon concentrates on providing financial expertise to nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations. Jon’s continued contributions and leadership has helped the firm to be recognized as a leading resource within the nonprofit industry. Having initiated the firm’s nonprofit blog, The Belfint Nonprofit Ledger (http://nonprofit.belfint.com/), Jon states “Our greatest value to our nonprofit clients is as an educator and trusted advisor.” Over the past decade at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, Jon has also had the opportunity to provide litigation support services for matters involving lost profit analysis, bankruptcy and transparency of financial information. Jon enjoys working side by side with his clients and has consulted on a wide range of issues while always considering the operational, financial and governance consequences.

Jon’s professional affiliations include serving on the Board of Directors for the Delaware Society of CPAs (DSCPA), being a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and involvement with the Delaware Association of Nonprofit Agencies (DANA). He also serves on the Board of Trustees as Treasurer at St. Anne’s Episcopal School.

Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and resides in Middletown, Delaware with his family.

David W. Jennings, CPA has been promoted to Principal in the firm’s Tax & Small Business Department. Dave provides specialized tax and financial strategic planning for small businesses, including the construction and legal industries, and their owners in the Delaware Valley area. He offers consulting on financing, succession planning and tax issues. Dave is the go-to guy for technical questions from both clients and BLS team members. Clients receive his full attention. He states, “I always give 110%. When someone needs something, I get right on it. I don’t want to let anybody down.”

Dave’s professional memberships include the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Delaware Society of CPAs (DSCPA) and the Wilmington Tax Group. Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and resides in the Pike Creek area of Wilmington, Delaware.
