Considering that India has estimated internet population of about 100 million users, this means that one in two users have already visited the website - big feat for a company that comprises of a tech team of only 5 people. It is to be noted that December is considered peak season for travel and millions of people travel during New Year.
Over past few years, http://www.mustseeindia.com has emerged as the No. 1 travel information portal in India, recognized by popular travel research website Tnooz and leading traffic monitoring agency comScore. Recently, Opera placed the website no. 6 in mobile usage, ahead of international giant TripAdvisor which was at 8th position. The company has also won many awards and accolades for its consistent performance and user oriented interface.
According to the CTO of the company, Karan Nahata, “This is only the beginning of the celebration. There are many other unique initiatives in the pipeline which will further strengthen our userbase. We are also looking for tie-ups with the big names in the travel industry to increase our expertise and offer more options to the travelers at one place”.
The company has also introduced the first ever online e-commerce tool that will allow the people to book holiday packages online at their own convenience and more so, at their own terms. The main motive behind launching this tool is to ensure price transparency that will help the travelers to understand where and how is their money being spent.
