Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Liqui-Site Designs, Inc. announced today the launch of a new website at ( https://www.dafoh.org/ ) for Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), a non-profit organization that aims to provide the medical community and society with objective findings of unethical and illegal organ harvesting.

Organ harvesting, the removal of organs without obtaining prior free and voluntary consent, is considered a crime against humanity, and a threat to the basic principles of medical science.

DAFOH was founded and organized by medical doctors. Supported by respected non-profit organizations and agencies, DAFOH serves to protect ethical principles in medical practice.

The efforts of DAFOH are largely concentrated on forced organ harvesting, with a current focus on China, where government-sanctioned involuntary organ removal from incarcerated victims is a common procedure.

DAFOH supports measures to end transplant abuse world-wide, including discouraging patients from traveling to countries with unethical organ procurement practices; withholding research from peer-reviewed journals and conferences that use unethically acquired scientific data; rejecting clinical trials that use unethically procured organs – and reminding pharmaceutical companies and organizations that sponsor them of their corporate responsibilities; and re-establishing the credibility of the medical transplant community.

In order to help increase its reach and visibility in the medical community, a new and adequate web presence was needed to scale the organization’s online awareness initiatives.  Liqui-Site developed this new website, built on Wordpress CMS, that streamlines usability with a more intuitive approach to navigation, by guiding visitors from research to direct involvement. The simplistic visual design balances the wealth of scientific research, reports, and evidence. The central focus of the layout remains converting visitors into advocates, by enabling them to become organization members at no cost, sign an international petition, and help spread the message through social channels.  Social media integration, including social sharing buttons, email newsletter subscription, and an active blog all help increase the reach of the organization and spread its important message.

DAFOH Executive Director, Torsten Trey, M.D., Ph.D. said, “Liqui-Site Designs did an excellent job in organizing the content from our previous website into a modern web presence that adds a new dynamic to our work. The new website is the logical response to the increasing interest from the medical community and society in our mission to stop forced organ harvesting and to promote ethical standards in medicine. Our experience in working with Liqui-Site Designs is that the firm offers class-leading customer service, and their services enhance the outreach and impact of our work.”
