Santas Prefer DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 Espresso Over Milk With Their Cookies

Informal survey of DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 users shows a vast majority prefer espresso over milk with their cookies during this holiday season. The traditional "Santa setup" seems to be giving way to espresso and cookies across the land.

Dec. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- BRIDGEVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA - A recent informal survey of DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 users showed that espresso is now the beverage of choice in their households when setting up a drink and cookies for Santa, with 73% of respondents stating that they would definitely do so this Christmas. The informal survey was conducted by staff online, and by telephone during the month of November.

Although the majority of respondents agreed that they prefer ESAM3300-made espresso with their cookies on Christmas eve, 20% responded they would consider drinking it at room temperature. In addition, slightly less than 10% indicated they would even drink it cold. Not surprisingly, those ESAM3300 users whose espresso makers are within 10 feet of their "Santa setups" (60%) state they will leave out an empty cup and let Santa brew his own.

"Fresh hot tasty espresso is always a treat for coffee lovers, especially during the holiday season," said Chaz Smith, owner and Marketing Director of his espresso machine based website at "Many espresso drinkers feel so strongly about it that they are willing to buck tradition and drop milk for espresso, even in their once a year setups for Santa."

While 25% of respondents won't be setting out anything for Santa this year, 82% of those said if they did, their setups would be espresso-based. Overall, 95% stated they would be consuming either espresso, cappuccino, or lattes during the holidays.

As seen in the survey results, espresso drinking is on the rise during the holiday season. Milk and cookies will continue to be set out for Santa on Christmas eve, but in growing numbers of cases, the milk will give way to espresso.
