Each of the three finalists presented their business plan to the more than 350 audience members at PitchFest 2012 who then casted their votes for the winner. “We had a panel of entrepreneurs, VCs, and other San Diego-area professionals narrow down the more than 100 applications to get us to our three finalists last night,” said David Titus, SDVG President. “We congratulate Blurtopia and trust their seed money will help their growth in our San Diego region!” Blurtopia is a free mobile application that allows a user to post any question to a network of friends. “Fom which shoes should you wear to the party, to which way should you hang the toilet paper,” Blurtopia’s interface gives users the ability to “blurt” out questions. Pitchfest 2012 applicants went through the judging process earlier this year. The finalists were selected from more than 100 nominee applications for their innovation, investor appeal and progress. The panel of judges was comprised of a group of San Diego’s leading entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, professionals and investors.
