The property was built in 2005 on 14.56+/- acres, as a medium security prison designed to meet all state and federal detention standards.  It is located in the northern part of Missouri in Harrison County and features a fully enclosed drive thru Sally Port complete with commercial vans for secure inmate transfers and a 32,000+/- sf metal building.  The building, with 12 foot walls & concrete floors, has a modular layout with a central control area in the middle and four large rooms or “pods” branching from it.  Each pod features facilities (toilet, showers, etc.) and 60 beds, for a total of 240 beds.  The central control area has office space for detention and administrative staff, maintenance functions and secure visitor access plus laundry, commissary and medical care facilities.  The fully equipped institutional kitchen is designed to accommodate 1,000.  All utilities are on-site, and the building has “wet” sprinklers, central air conditioning and force air heating.  There are recreational areas both inside and outside, each with an administrative segregation area.

This is a turn-key operation that includes all communications, alarm, surveillance, maintenance, computer and office equipment still on site along with detention officer equipment, restraints, inmate garments, and bedding.  All personal property will be transferred with the sale of the building.
