Today, Noosta, the all-mobile participatory journalism platform dedicated to real-time, user-generated information, has been released in Beta to a pool of expert developers.
Before its official public launch, expected in Spring 2013 in selected locations, these Beta testers will begin experimenting with Noosta’s innovative mobile-native technology, including a vast “content” sharing system, automatic geo-localized local news notifications, semantic tagging technology and a real-time news scoring system that effectively bypasses the need for editing/censoring without damaging the quality of the final product.
Noosta was conceived as a medium that gives a voice to anyone who witnesses news first hand, rather than an instrument for budding journalists, hence our motto: ‘Be a voice, not an echo’. Noosta is a simple, yet extremely powerful platform that allows users to instantly upload news content of both local and global interest directly from their smartphone, thus offering a constantly updated service of immense public and media interest.
