The ‘Torch of Learning’ will travel across India for over 3 months to spread the message of inclusive education. The bus has a demo classroom, to give a unique experience to students, parents and educators, about the ideal classroom setting as per each students learning style. Mr. Pradeep Pillai, Business Head, Kidzee and Mount Litera Zee School, said, “Worldwide in K-12 education, access to education is followed by enhancement in the quality. We feel that the time is just right for a substantial impetus to improve its human capital. Quality education at the early childhood and school level is imperative because these are the foundational years. Already operating with 1 school in Meerut and 25 in Uttar Pradesh, Mount Litera Zee School plans to play an integral role in this endeavor and will set up 10 more schools in Uttar Pradesh by the end of 2014.” Meerut is the 63rd-fastest- Meerut ranked second on both the financial penetration index, which measures things like the presence of ATMs and bank branches, and on the consumption index, indicating the city’s transformation into an urban town. The infrastructure segment of Meerut is currently going through a boom phase with many new projects coming up in and around the city. At Mount Litera Zee School, the learning experience extends beyond the classroom; into the outdoor and common areas as well, by transforming them into learning spaces. In the school, the child spends the majority of his time in the classroom and hence the experience within the classroom is most distinct. The classroom has been completely designed around the child and her developmental requirements. The demo classroom will showcase a typical classroom in Mount Litera Zee School. The parents will get an opportunity to sit through a classroom session and experience how a classroom can contribute towards creating future leaders of the country. The bus will be traveling across 39 cities in India to create awareness about different styles of learning.
