-- Opera, one of the most popular mobile browsers, published a report recently which indicated India has the highest number of monthly Opera mini users worldwide. In September, e-commerce and travel websites made up 21% of the total sites visited by Indian Opera Mini users.
Among the top 10 travel sites in India, indianrail.gov.in holds the no. 1 rank while MakeMyTrip, the leading Indian OTA held the fourth position. Must See India holds the 6th position in the list - ahead of Tripadvisor and Cleartrip.com, which were ranked eighth and ninth respectively.
Of recent, most of the e-commerce domains have shown exceptional growth including the travel category, which has become much diverse. The domain which was once dominated only by the government railways website is seeing new players enter the market. Many private travel companies have made a place for themselves in the top ring.
