Commit Fitness Health Club NOW Open to Public

In a move to upgrade and brand its residential community health clubs, Ludwig And Company recently introduced new equipment, training and services to the facility at Prairie View Apartments in Woodstock, Illinois. Prairie View is the first club to be branded as Commit Fitness, and now offers free memberships to apartment residents and paid memberships to the local communities.

According to Ludwig Vice President Richard Goldstein, “As a leader in the multi-family housing industry, we felt it was important to enhance our health club facilities and extend the benefits to our surrounding neighborhoods.” Commit Fitness “bridges the gap between standard apartment building work out rooms and a professional stand alone health club.

Bill Collins, Prairie View Community Manager added, “Commit Fitness is more than just a health club, it’s a way of life. We have all the equipment to keep you fit, the free weights to ensure you’ll feel the burn, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, full-court indoor basketball and outdoor basketball, tennis court and lounges to relax and socialize.“

The Woodstock location offers private or group lessons for swimming, personal training and fitness classes.

Ludwig also released information about its resident fitness facility at Timber Oaks Apartments in Ingleside, Illinois.

The Timber Oaks Commit Fitness Aquatic Club expanded its pool, spa and fit memberships to include the public, with a paid membership. Timber Oaks offers the only indoor, heated, year-round pool in the Chain o’ Lake area. Timber Oaks Manager Jess O’Kane said, “The Aquatic Club is perfect for water aerobics and lap swimmers, and the Jacuzzi hot tub is great for stress relief.” She explained that the expanded fitness center is included in the membership fee, and offers free weights, a yoga area plus cardio bikes and treadmills.

The public is invited to stop by any location for a free One-Day Pass.

Regarding both properties, Goldstein remarked, “Our theme for Commit Fitness reflects America’s new focus on fitness:  ‘Commit to Fitness, Commit to Yourself.’”
