Tickets selling fast for Brangwyn Hall Christmas concerts

CLASSICAL music fans need to get in quick if they don’t want to miss out on either of the annual Christmas concerts taking place at the Brangwyn Hall this month.
Dec. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Tickets are selling fast for Handel’s Messiah this Saturday (December 15) while tickets for the ever-popular Christmas by Candlelight Concert on Saturday December 22 have almost sold out.

Soloists Gary Griffiths (Baritone), Robyn Lyn (Tenor), Ros Evans (Soprano) and Kate Woolveridge (Mezzo-Soprano) join Alwyn Humphreys and the Chamber Orchestra of Wales and Chorale for the 73rd annual performance of The Messiah.

Christmas by Candlelight will feature a selection of Christmas classics in an atmospheric candlelit setting. It will again be conducted by Alwyn Humphreys, featuring the Chamber Orchestra of Wales and Chorale along with soloist Ros Evans.

Tracy Ellicott, Manager of the Brangwyn Hall, said: “Tickets are selling fast for both concerts and I’d encourage people to book now to avoid disappointment.”

Cllr Nick Bradley, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, said: "The Brangwyn Hall is a fantastic classical music venue.  Both these concerts are popular inclusions in the Brangwyn’s December programme as they generate a great festive atmosphere. They are now part and parcel of the Christmas tradition in Swansea.”

Both concerts begin at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from online or by calling the Swansea Bay Ticketline on 01792 637300.

The two concerts build up to many events taking place at the Brangwyn Hall from January to June.  Find out more at or pick up the new 2013 brochure from any Swansea Council venue.
