August Jackson of Ernst & Young Elected 2013 Vice-Chair Strategic and Competitive Intelligen
The SCIP Board of Directors elected August Jackson, Associate Director of Strategic Market Intelligence at Ernst & Young, as the 2013 Board Vice-Chair. He will become SCIP’s Board Chair in 2014.

August’s functional expertise is in corporate and business strategy, marketing and competitive intelligence. He has demonstrated expertise in knowledge discovery through primary and secondary research (HUMINT and OSINT), statistical analysis, social network analysis and visual analytics. Prior to joining Ernst & Young August spent over 10 years in the telecommunications industry in marketing and competitive intelligence roles with Verizon, British Telecom and AT&T's Concert joint venture. He has also worked with government agencies to help them apply commercial intelligence methods and semantic technology to government intelligence challenges. August received his MBA from the University of Maryland and his BA in International Affairs from George Washington University.
