Hyundai's Veloster C3 Concept Redefine's Utility

A new urban take on the Veloster is introduced in LA During Auto Show.

Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Hyundai recently pulled the tarp off of the Veloster C3 concept vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Building off of what the successful Veloster model already has to offer, Hyundai outfitted the concept vehicle with a number of innovative tweaks, giving fans a glimpse of what's possibly to come.

The current 2013 Veloster is available at Family Hyundai in Tinely Park (http://www.familyhyundai.com/TopTenReasons.html), where an expert staff will show you the ins-and-out of this model, and even let you test-drive it. Besides the option of a tough 201hp 1.6L twin-scroll turbo 4-cylinder engine, the Veloster is equipped with some of today's best technology, including Blueooth connectivity and an available navigation system. The Veloster is even more unique in the fact that it combines the fun of a coupe with the utility of a hatchback.

The C3 concept takes the idea of the hatchback to a whole new level. Rather than a hatch, the concept is equipped with a downward swinging gate. The C3 is also a convertible with a cloth top that can either fold forward or backward, allowing the driver to take advantage of as much of the space in the Veloster as possible. Transporting a bike or a kayak looks easy with the Veloster C3.

Hyundai designers were inspired by the look and airiness of a fixed gear bicycle when designing the C3. Press photos feature the C3 with its two-wheeled inspiration, and it’s clear that even the thick teal-colored spokes on the back wheel of the bicycle are mimicked on the rear wheels of the C3. To take the urban theme even further, Hyundai designers lined the bed of the C3 with repurposed skateboard decks, making an awesome collage of urban design culture. Hyundai even lined the inside of the tailgate with skateboard grip tape.

Other features include:
18” chrome wheels
Eight LED headlight accents
Sculpted side skirts
Bold, circular exhaust pipes

Though the Veloster C3 concept is a one of a kind vehicle, something like it may be available in the future. In the meantime, drivers interested in the current Veloster should contact Family Hyundai (http://www.familyhyundai.com/contactus.aspx) to learn more, as well as set up a test-drive. Family Hyundai is located at 8101 West 159th Street in Tinely Park, between Harlem and LaGrange.
