Continuum Physical Therapy of Rockland Is Expanding. Announces the Addition of a New Doctor.

Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Rockland Maine, December 11, 2012 - Samuel W. Powell, DPT, has joined Continuum Physical Therapy in Rockland. Along with strong skills as a manual therapist, he brings particular expertise in the treatment and prevention of spine and knee injuries to the practice.

"We're delighted to welcome Sam and to add his skills to Continuum Physical Therapy," said co-founder, Michael Gallagher, PT, MPT, OCS. "Having a third professional on staff enables us to continue offering excellent care, exclusive personal service and appointments within two days of initial contact."

Dr. Powell will evaluate and treat patients, provide sport-specific jump and agility training, and work with local sports teams on injury prevention programs. He will also manage Continuum's internal education programs, ensuring that all staff therapists remain up-to-date on the latest research and procedures.

Dr. Powell holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England. He has completed several recent workshops in manual therapy techniques, and is Red Cross-certified in first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillator use. A native of China, Maine, Dr. Powell has returned to the state after spending two years in Colorado practicing orthopedic physical therapy. He and his wife, Kate, make their home in Jefferson.
