Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- NJ MET Vice President Joseph Federico announced that the company’s annual holiday toy drive will benefit two New Jersey charities.  This year’s recipients will be the Pediatric department at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ and the Union Beach Police Department toy drive for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Toys will be collected over the next few weeks and will be delivered over the holiday season.

Since 2001, Wayne, NJ resident Joseph Federico has led this drive at NJ MET which has collected many toys for distribution throughout the New Jersey area.

“We look forward all year to doing this drive which makes the holidays a little brighter for many underprivileged and sick children,” said Joseph Federico from NJ MET’s engineering laboratory headquarters in Clifton, NJ.

In the greater NY/NJ shoreline communities, there are many people whose homes have been completely destroyed and these gifts will brighten their children’s lives.  Some of the toys donated by friends and employees of NJ MET’s annual holiday toy collection will be given to the Union Beach NJ Police Department.  Any and all donations of gifts for the children can be brought to NJMET or forwarded directly to the Union Beach Police Department at 650 Poole Avenue, Union Beach, NJ 07735,   Attn: Carl Williamson.

The other recipient is Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ.  As a Catholic faith-based institution founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson nurtures the spiritual, as well as the medical needs of its patients and their families. They recognize faith as a prime mover and as an essential part of the healing ministry. The Pastoral Care Department provides information, consultation, and education that support and enable care of the whole person—care that provides not only for people's physical needs, but also for their emotional and spiritual needs.

If you would like to participate in this annual charitable giving program, please contact Joseph Federico or Ruth Vitale at NJMET’s Clifton, NJ headquarters -- 1240 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ   Phone # 973-546-5393 extension 218 for Joe Federico or extension 212 for Ruth Vitale.  Toys can be brought to the Clifton office.
