Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- NEW YORK, NY – Awarding-winning small business owner, best-selling author and host of MSNBC’s Your Business JJ Ramberg will be a keynote speaker at the Get Your Voice On: A Celebration of Women Conference scheduled March 1-2, 2013 at the Hilton New York.

Ramberg began her career with NBC News as an associate producer of Dateline. She was later working as a reporter for CNN when she joined MSNBC.

With her MSNBC show, Your Business, in its seventh season, Ramberg has profiled thousands of small business owners as well as experts and investors. She has received several awards including Self Magazine’s “Women Doing Good,” Jewish Women International’s “Women to Watch” and was the New York Enterprise Report’s 2011 Small Business Advocate of the Year.

While she has an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, her expertise in small business affairs was not just research-based, but much of that expertise comes through first-hand experience.

Ramberg, whose parents were both entrepreneurs, began her own journey in 2005 as a successful small business owner when she and her brother, Ken, founded GoodSearch.com, an organization which turns people’s every day actions into ways to support their favorite causes.  The site has raised nearly $10 million.

As a keynote speaker at Get Your Voice on: A Celebration of Women, Ramberg will share her passion about the small business and financial arenas as well as information about her newly-released book It’s Your Business: 183 Essential Tips that Will Transform Your Small Business.

“There are many women out there who fear money and/or have a poor relationship and history with the management of finances,” said Michele Mattia, co-founder of the event.  “The lack of knowledge, support and understanding of money and finance keeps them anchored to an existence that doesn’t support the dynamic and delicious lives they were put on this planet to realize.  Through her book, journalistic enterprises, and socially responsible company, GoodSearch.com, JJ Ramberg is a woman who Gets Her Voice On in the business world, while making a difference locally and globally! All women need to experience JJ’s message! “

Jennifer Wilkov, also, a co-founder of the event, said, “Whether you are entrepreneurial in the business world and/or a woman and/or mother heading up a household of financial responsibilities, what JJ Ramberg has to talk about is your business. Her multiple roles as a news journalist, author, successful entrepreneurial small business owner and Mom are a perfect backdrop to her message about why it’s so important to get your voice on in every area of your life. I’m thrilled that JJ is able to join us for this groundbreaking event with her inspiring and encouraging words of wisdom!”

The event will be held Friday and Saturday, March 1 -2, 2013 at the Hilton New York in Manhattan located at 1335 Avenue of the Americas.  Tickets are on sale now at http://www.getyourvoiceon.com/Registration/
