Jaguar Land Rover Debuts Three New Models

It’s with that in mind that auto enthusiasts should be pleased to learn that Jaguar Land Rover recently made a splash at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show by debuting three new luxury vehicles.

Chief among these vehicles is the new 2013 Range Rover, which is completely redesigned from its predecessor. It’s also revolutionary, being the world’s first SUV constructed with an all-aluminum body, which will reduce the vehicle’s overall weight and allow for improved fuel economy.

The vehicle’s legendary capability certainly won’t be sacrificed, though — the aluminum platform, in fact, gives the vehicle enhanced performance and agility. It comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine that’s also significantly lighter than the model with which its predecessor was equipped. The 2013 Range Rover will be available later this month.

Another model that made its U.S. debut at the LA Auto Show was the new Jaguar F-TYPE, which was displayed in its Black Pack performance trim. This is a convertible sports car with a soft top, which features rear-wheel drive and lightweight aluminum construction. The vehicle’s low weight combined with its high power output means that this will be a vehicle that extremely capable and comfortable. It will be available in early summer of 2013.

Finally, making its global debut was the Jaguar XFR-S, which is being billed as the ultra-high-performance car that’s sure to satisfy drivers with a need for speed.

Andy Goss, President of Jaguar Land rover North America, weighed in on the new vehicles, saying, “The new Jaguar F-TYPE, Jaguar XFR-S, and all new Range Rover will all make a major impact, specifically in the United States, which will be the world’s largest market for all three vehicles.”
