RBLI helps tackle unemployment in Bognor Regis, Chichester and Littlehampton.

Dec. 11, 2012 - PRLog -- The Work Programme is a Department for Work and Pensions initiative which provides tailored support for people who need additional help undertaking active and effective jobseeking.

The service provided from RBLI’s office allows jobseekers to access free employability assistance including job searching guidance, interview preparation and support developing a CV.  The new office, based in Sudley Road Bognor Regis, is also available to those from Chichester, Littlehampton and the surrounding areas.

The six members of staff who work within the RBLI office are keen to work with businesses in the community to provide employment advice and assist their recruitment requirements. Polly Boughton, RBLI Office Manager, explains: “We want to show employers in Bognor the many benefits of employing jobseekers from the Work Programme, including accessing Government funding initiatives, ongoing support for employers and jobseekers and, perhaps most important of all, that it’s completely free.”

The office was officially opened by the Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis & Littlehampton, Nick Gibb MP, on Friday 7th December. Mr Gibb said: “It is a pleasure to be invited to the launch of this new RBLI Work Programme office in Bognor Regis. Having the opportunity to meet some of the first individuals who are now employed, having benefited from the RBLI team’s expertise and resources is really satisfying. It’s also very encouraging to see the good work being done by businesses in Bognor Regis for jobseekers by embracing the Work Programme initiative.”
