Book Launch Event Wednesday Dec. 19 in downtown Vancouver for “Niki Owl, Leap of Faith”

Dec. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Join Author Karin Pinter as she launches her just-released children’s storybook, “Niki Owl, Leap of Faith” (published by AuthorHouse). The book chronicles the delightful adventures—and misadventures—of an owl who migrates from southern Spain to Vancouver, Canada. Niki’s personal transformation mirrors the author’s own journey of self-discovery.

An excerpt from “Niki Owl, Leap of Faith”:

 Niki Owl stopped by Ryan’s molehill on his way home one morning to check in on him. His friend was especially perturbed on that occasion.
“How can you always be in such high spirits?” he asked Niki, with hints of anger.
“What is there to be in low spirits about?”
“Well, take yesterday for example. The rain was awful and depressing—there was no sunshine!” he fussed.
 Looking up at the dark clouds that still loomed, waiting to shower the forest again, Niki breathed in the fresh smell of clean air and felt a surge of radiance from within.
“Ryan, yesterday was yesterday. And more importantly, the sun is always here.”
“Where? I don’t see it!”
“The sun is wherever you want it to be,” Niki replied, lightly touching Ryan’s chest with the tip of his wing.
