-- UrbanScooters.com is pleased to announce the addition of the X-treme XB-700Li Lithium Ion Powered Electric Bike to the Marketplace, a comparison shopping engine connecting customers with scooters and other products from various merchants across the Internet. The XB700Li offers a 700 watt hub motor located in the rear wheel that can carry riders at speeds up to 20 miles per hour. The Xtreme XB 700 Li operates as a bicycle when the pedals are attached. The pedals allow riders to follow less strict electric bike laws rather than moped laws. Riders of the XB700Li can also choose to remove the pedal system for weight savings, but then this model will no longer fall under the category of an electric bike.
The XB700Li comes with options and features not found elsewhere. Standard features and specifications include; a 700 watt brushless rear hub motor, 32 lightweight Lithium Polymer Phosphate batteries, optional pedal system, high tensile strength steel frame, Durable ABS plastic body panels, Dual front and rear shock absorbers, front and rear drum brakes, a 275 lb. carrying capacity, 16" x 3" air-filled tires with aluminum mag wheels, a comfortable padded moped style seat, keyed ignition, rear cargo box that locks as well as additional storage space under the seat and underneath the ignition, both rear and side reflectors, tail and brake lights, turn signals in the front and rear, horn, battery indicator, speedometer, rear view mirrors on the right and left, windshield, and a headlight. To charge the XB-700Li, the rider simply plugs it in to a standard outlet and lets the bike charge for 2-3 hours for a full charge.
UrbanScooters.com owner Frank Minero said, "This is the most capable electric bicycle that we have seen come out of X-treme to date and people are going to be replacing their cars left and right. The capabilities and features of the X-treme XB-700Li Lithium Ion electric bike really push the boundaries of traditional electric bikes with SLA batteries, but the inclusion of the Lithium batteries does not drive up the price too much. Customers still get the high quality, strong performing electric bike at a reasonable price."
