Vancomycin-Intermediate & Vancomycin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus Discussed in New Online Video
The IAQ Video Network releases another educational video about microbial pathogens, indoor air quality (IAQ), industrial hygiene, or toxins.
They are considered a healthcare-associated infection (HAI). People who develop this type of staph infection may have underlying health conditions, tubes going into their bodies, previous infections with methicillin-
“Staphylococcus aureus is a bacterium commonly found on the skin and in the nose of about 30% of individuals, usually staph does not cause any harm,” reported Paul Cochrane, President of Cochrane and Associates, the company behind the IAQ Video Network and the new public outreach video. “Sometimes staph bacteria can get into the bloodstream and cause serious infections which can be fatal. We hope this video helps to educate people about VISA and VRSA.”
