Dec. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Greg Bell, founder of The Water the Bamboo Center for Leadership (http://www.waterthebamboo.com) announces the launch of The Water the Bamboo University. An interactive library of goal-setting tools and multimedia resources, in just 90 days the University curriculum will help teams and individuals develop the game plan they need for achieving their goals.  Members will learn how to create unshakable motivation and persistence, develop laser-like focus to avoid distractions, and apply the secrets of high achievers to create breakthrough results.

The foundation of the Water The Bamboo University is Bell’s book, Water the Bamboo:  Unleashing the Potential of Teams and Individuals. A metaphor for success, the Water the Bamboo philosophy is a concept based on the type of bamboo that grows like no other plant in the world.  Giant timber bamboo can grow at 90 feet in 60 days.  Even more amazing is that once giant timber bamboo is planted, it takes at least three years to break through the ground. Even during this time when there are no visible signs of growth, bamboo farmers water the seed and tend to it faithfully, diligently, unwavering in their commitment.

“After more than a dozen years of working with and studying successful people, teams and organizations, I realized that every person, every team, every organization can benefit from understanding the principles giant timber bamboo teaches us about achieving amazing growth and success,” says Bell.  “The Water the Bamboo University was created to not only teach you about these principles, but to walk members through practical exercises designed to encourage thought and insights into their bamboo --- their vision--- and how to attain it.  In just 90 days, members will be armed with the game plan for turning their dreams into reality.”

The University’s first module --- the “Grow Your Roots” foundational course ---ties together the tools and exercises members need to develop their game plan:

·      A copy of Water The Bamboo: Unleashing the Potential of Teams and Individuals (or a copy of Bamboo Farmer Wisdom for those who already have Water The Bamboo).

·      An exclusive Personal Development Workbook over 100 full-color Pages of Content and Exercises to guide members step-by-step through the creation of their game plan.

·      90-Day Access to the Member’s Only Website which contains over 40 videos and audio with Greg Bell to accompany and bring to life each of the 21 chapters of Water The Bamboo.

·      Live Webinar with Greg Bell. Members who sign up after December 31, 2012 will gain access to archived webinars.

Members of the media are invited to take a more detailed look inside the Water the Bamboo University.  Please email ckazan@communik-pr.com for a complimentary log-in.

As Bell explains, “The successes of my clients and students who have used the Water the Bamboo University resources continue to validate my theory that the solutions they discover themselves are the ones that work best.  Which is why this is not a cookie-cutter or quick fix avenue to success; it is a guide to achieving their goals built upon a foundation for assessing the answers, motivation and aspirations already within the person, their team, or their organization.”

As part of Bell’s personal bamboo he helped launch the Coaches vs. Cancer (http://www.cancer.org/Involved/Participate/CoachesvsCancer/) campaign for the National Association of Basketball Coaches—a non-profit that has raised over 50 million dollars for cancer research. In support of this worthy cause, $10 from every individual membership will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Dreams are great, but making them a reality is better.  No matter what one’s bamboo is, the Water the Bamboo University was designed with one purpose in mind:  to help turn dreams into reality.  Today is someday.  Let’s start watering!

Greg Bell, CSP, is a recognized thought leader, author of Water the Bamboo:  Unleashing the Potential of Individuals and Teams, and founder of the Water The Bamboo Center For Leadership (http://www.waterthebamboo.com) and the Water the Bamboo University.  As an innovator and keen observer of highly successful leaders and teams, he distilled his findings into the Water The Bamboo approach to success, which has encouraged and inspired thousands of leaders and teams to identify and water their bamboo to create remarkable results.
