Follow on Google News | South Florida Kids Show They Are “Stronger Than Cancer” in Music VideoThe Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Inc. (POST) has released a music video entitled, “Stronger Than Cancer”. Everyone in the video is currently battling cancer, a cancer survivor, a family member of a cancer survivor, or a medical professional.
By: Pediatric Oncology Support Team, Inc. About a dozen children battling or surviving cancer were part of the video and lip-synched to Kelly Clarkson’s song “Stronger.” "Most kids who have cancer don’t go away for treatment. They are right here in your backyard," says POST’s President & CEO, Dr. Barbara Abernathy. "Local kids seek treatment with local pediatric oncologists. These children and their families are then referred to POST to address supplement the psychosocial aspects of a childhood cancer diagnosis." According to the Florida Association of Pediatric Tumor Programs (FAPTA) 12,500 children are diagnosed with cancer; the third largest percentage of all children diagnosed with cancer in the state of Florida reside here in Palm Beach County and life for these children and families changes drastically. For the children of POST, making a video was a way to show the world that kids can live with cancer, get treated for cancer, and survive whatever a diagnosis brings to their lives and the lives of their family members and friends.
