Snell & Wilmer Attorney Amanda Sheridan to Serve On Maricopa County Bar Association Board

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Amanda Sheridan, an associate in the Phoenix office, will be serving a two-year term on the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Board of Directors, beginning January 2013.

Since its founding in 1914, the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA) has been the largest voluntary bar association in Arizona. Through its continuing legal education programs, social events and charitable activities, MCBA provides a venue for professional growth, networking and public service to the county's diverse legal community.

Sheridan stated, “I strongly believe that it is important to dedicate my time and resources towards strengthening the local legal community.” She added, “I plan continue to ensure that the MCBA is a vehicle for professional growth of all members of Maricopa County’s diverse legal community and will serve as a community leader on important legal issues that impact Maricopa County.”  

Sheridan is an active board member of the MCBA’s Young Lawyer’s Division (YLD), serving as Chairperson of the YLD’s Mock Interview and Mentoring Committees, Co-Chairperson of the Race Judicata Committee and YLD liaison to the MCBA Membership Committee. She is currently a fourth-year associate with Snell & Wilmer, focusing on product liability, commercial litigation and criminal defense. Sheridan earned her J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the recipient of the Rice Foundation Scholarship.
