Veterans Commemoratives Help With Fundraising Supporting 40 & 8 Honor Society of American Veterans

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Veterans Commemoratives is proud to be working with Voiture National, The 40 & 8 Honor Society of Americans Veterans, to create Unique Fundraising Programs and Commemorative Military Watches and Military Rings honoring and supporting Members who Served Our Country in the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines.
The 40 & 8 Honor Society of American Veterans was started in 1920, by a few members of The American Legion. Membership is open to any and all active and retired Service Men and Women of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marines. Members may choose to have their 40 and 8 Military Emblem affixed to their Veterans Commemoratives Military Service Branch watches and rings, which also can be further personalized with Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps Career Service Emblems, Division Insignia, War Medals and Ribbons, Honor Awards (Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Bronze Star), and Special Military Forces Emblems.
In 2012 Veterans Commemoratives developed three fundraising programs, which were mailed to 40 & 8 members. The first was a special sweepstakes with a St. Patrick’s Day theme, the second a sweepstakes with a Columbus Day theme and a Holiday Address Label program which is currently being mailed. For 2013 plans are under way for two new sweepstakes and a Holiday greeting card program.
Funds raised from these special programs benefit the charities supported by 40 and 8, including The Ardery Child Welfare Trust/The Boland Scholarship Trust/Carville Star; The Youth Sports/Flags for First Graders; The Veterans Voluntary Service/Americanism/POW/MIA Scholarships and a Nurses Training Program, which to date has graduated more than 32,000 nurses.
