Carbon by Design increases UAV Manufacturing Equipment

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Carbon by Design has acquired its fifth Haas CNC in less than three years to complete the planned capacity build-out to allow for the manufacturing of extremely large, monolithic aluminum tooling.  Dominick Consalvi, Owner, said: "This machining center will allow Carbon by Design to manufacture tooling in-house in a size format which was previously unavailable to us."  In conjunction with the CNC purchase Carbon by Design has completed the construction of a 26 foot long convection oven specifically suited to large fuselage assemblies.  This oven was designed, manufactured and tested in-house and is a design which is propriety to Carbon by Design.  The curing oven is PLC controlled and equipped with twelve channels of data logging capacity.
