Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- FDM GROUP – International IT services provider, FDM Group, was a sponsor of last night’s Wall Street Rocks Battle of the Bands 2012 finale. The event was held to raise vital funds for both Hurricane Sandy victims and our nation’s veterans.

The charity event, which was held at Irving Plaza, saw hundreds of bankers and wealth managers enjoy performances from the Spin Doctors in addition to Morgan Stanley’s James Macedonio and RBC’s Peter Carrara.

FDM’s VP of North America, Brandt Rousseaux, said, “We are extremely honored to be a sponsor of the Wall Street Rocks. The work that they do is incredibly valuable, raising funds to assist key organizations that support our veterans. FDM is proud to have been a part of this initiative throughout 2012.”

Wall Street Rocks is a charitable collaboration of employees in the financial, technology and entertainment industries focused on supporting the heroic service men and women of our nation. All proceeds from the previous events held this year have gone to support Wounded Warriors Project and Reserve Aid. For this concluding event, the organization extended their generosity even further by additionally donating a portion of last night’s proceeds towards local charities providing relief to victims of Hurricane Sandy, including The Salvation Army and Project Hospitality.

Rousseaux continues, “As a retired Commander who spent over 20 years with the US Coast Guard, it is very important for me to give as much support as I can to our country’s heroes who have returned home. For this reason, we at FDM have established a unique Veterans Program to help our service men and women transition back into the civilian workforce. It is a privilege to be helping these military members, who have served our country honorably and with great sacrifice, start the next chapter of their lives.”

FDM’s Veteran Program focuses on transitioning qualified veterans into civilian careers as professional IT Consultants. Using its unique business model, which combines quality IT training and two years of commercial employment, FDM provides IT enthusiasts the resources to transfer their valuable military skills to successful careers in the banking, financial services and media sectors.

FDM is currently a vendor with the Department of Veteran Affairs under the Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation and Education Program. FDM has also established its partnership with the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service and WorkForce1 Job Centers within the tri-state area.
