Best Day Honored as 2012 Top-Rated Non-Profit

Dec. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- Best Day Foundation has received a prestigious 2012 Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leader of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

“We’re honored to be named a Top-Rated 2012 Nonprofit,” says Max Montgomery, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Best Day. “2012 was an amazing year: we helped 737 children with special needs build confidence & self-esteem in 22 surf & snow events. Also, over 1,730 volunteers delivered 13,008 hours of community service at our events, valued at over $322,535 according to the Independent Sector’s 2011 report on volunteer time. We can’t wait to make a bigger impact in 2013!“

The award was based on the large number of positive reviews that Best Day received from volunteers, donors, and parents who posted their personal experience with the nonprofit. April, mother to Sarah aged 7, wrote, “My daughter has Dravet syndrome and is mentally delayed with limited speech. She loves the water... I felt so happy seeing her out on the water... To this day I still tear up when thinking about all the nice people who made that day so special for my daughter. I can't say enough about how awesome this foundation is.”

Being on the Top-Rated List comes at an important time of the year, as donors look for causes to support during the holiday season.
