Top marketing executives form Pink Collective: "Business As Unusual" strategy
Dec. 4, 2012 - PRLog -- MIAMI – Several of South Florida’s most experienced professionals in advertising, marketing, and public relations have formed Pink Collective, a new communications organization offering a full range of services ranging from strategic branding, media placement, creative services, web marketing, social media, national publicity, and event planning.

President and Creative Director Roly Rodriguez said Pink Collective was created to address the need for agencies to be more nimble in the digital era’s shifting media landscape. He said the business community is demanding greater return on investment, greater creativity and greater accountability from advertising, marketing and public relations agencies…but at more affordable rates. The firm’s clients include The Singing Machine, Baptist Health South Florida, Vertimax, Great HealthWorks, Convoy of Hope, Regimental Chess, Acebal & Fontana Architectural Firm, ATCi Communications, and Saints Home School Athletic Program.

“The real answer is for agencies to develop different business models constructed to suit clients, not agencies, and Pink Collective has done that,” he said. “Pink Collective’s ‘business as unusual’ approach eliminates inefficient middle management and bureaucratic red tape. We have short-circuited high overhead by embracing a new prototype that is more efficient and less costly for clients, and in the process, we have attracted top talent in our Collective who work for our clients on an as-needed, on-demand basis. We have replaced inconsistency with relevancy. We have embraced measurement and accountability as a critical part of how we do business.”

Pink Collective’s services and capabilities cover all aspects of marketing, from a single project to a 360-degree campaign. Capabilities include strategic planning; research; branding; graphic design; print, broadcast, direct response, online and mobile marketing; social media; publicity; and event planning.

“Key members of Pink Collective have experience representing clients and brands in nearly every industry including consumer products, technology, education, transportation, legal, financial, healthcare, real estate, entertainment, hospitality, travel/tourism, retail, government, and non-profits,” said Stuart Dornfield, Chief Marketing Officer. “Whether your goal is to drive traffic, increase brand awareness, generate orders or simply introduce your brand to the world, we have a team of top professionals ready to create your story, perfect your look, craft your message, and connect with your target audience across a myriad of traditional and non-traditional channels.”

The Pink Collective website (www.thepinkcollective.com) provides more information about the firm’s background and capabilities as well as a blog tracking industry trends. Dornfield added, “members of Pink Collective are award winning and nationally recognized strategists, designers and web marketing professionals who are available by the project or by the hour, enabling clients to receive best in class expertise that most small and mid-size brick ‘n mortar agencies can’t afford to hire on a full-time basis. Clients get top talent at lower rates.”

Rodriguez has served more than 15 years as an esteemed Creative Director within the South Florida advertising and design community before founding Pink Collective with his colleagues. His diverse background includes creative strategy and execution for Baptist Outpatient Services, Black & Decker, Presidente Beer, Christian Dior, Air Jamaica, Estee Lauder, Sony, Guinness, Toyota, and cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and American Cruise Lines.

Having had the good fortune of working with over 200 clients in virtually every industry, Dornfield is highly skilled in branding and marketing strategy across business-to-consumer and business-to-business channels with a keen ability to combine his business acumen with his creative talents. Dornfield is also an award-winning copywriter and creative director with an extensive portfolio in digital, print, broadcast, out-of-home and direct marketing.

Dornfield started his career as a copywriter in New York and relocated to Miami where he co-founded Gold Coast Advertising. As creative director/president, he helped build the agency into an $80 million shop, ranked as the 3rd largest in South Florida. During that time he helped clients such as Office Depot grow from 3 stores into the largest retailer of office products in the world. His “Taking Care of Business” campaign was recognized as one of the best in specialty retail by the National Retail Federation.

Dornfield also worked as a marketing strategist, copywriter and creative director for Vitamin Shoppe, Fris Vodka, Mattress Firm, Arby’s, Polar Beer, JM Lexus, Cleveland Clinic Florida, Memorial Regional Healthcare, Sports Authority, Broward College, The Miami Dolphins, Florida Panthers, ShopKo, Mohawk Flooring, Jaeger LeCoultre, Movado, and Harry Winston. He has won more than 300 local, regional and national awards for creative excellence.

Jim Poh, Director of Media, has been part of some of the most innovative and successful campaigns of the past 10 years, including the U.S. launch of the MINI Cooper, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Burger King and American Legacy Foundation’s “Truth” anti-smoking campaign. When he was VP-Media Director at Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, the firm won four media Lions at the Cannes Advertising Festival including the first U.S. Grand Prix win for “Truth.” Poh was an Advertising Age “Media Maven” in 2001 and one of MIN Magazine’s “21 Most Intriguing” of 2004.

Before cp+b, Poh ran Media First International’s office in Boston, where he had previously worked at Arnold on Volkswagen and Ocean Spray. As founder of pohmedia, Poh’s company developed a media neutral approach to servicing its clients, a culmination of the learning from all of his past experiences, starting with the rigors and discipline of packaged goods brands from P&G, Quaker Oats etc., and fully realized in the creative, ground breaking efforts for numerous clients at cp+b.
