SMART Recovery has two exciting events to wrap up the old and kick off a New Year! Usher in a safe and sober New Year with SMART Recovery!
By: SMART Recovery
This one-hour event will be presented online on Saturday, December 29th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time in The SMART Room.
Dr. Bill Knaus, Ed. D., is famous for his work in helping people overcome procrastination. He originated the self-help movement in procrastination and has worked with thousands of people in his individual private practice and in his transformational workshops for people with procrastination. Over one million have benefited from reading his bestselling books on procrastination. An original director of post-graduate training in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Bill directly helped train over 1000 professional counselors and psychotherapists. He is a highly popular presenter at SMART Recovery’s free public events.
Monday, December 31, 2012, 5:00 am - January 1, 2013, 5:00 am (a full 24 hours) - SMART Recovery Online will celebrate its international presence with its annual "New Year’s Around the World" party and fundraiser hosted online in both the voice and text venues. The celebration begins on December 31, 2012 at 5:00 AM Eastern Time, as the Christmas Islands welcome in the New Year. Then we’ll continue west through New Zealand, Australia, and "around the world" welcoming in 2013, wrapping up at 5:00 AM Eastern Time on January 1, 2013 when the New Year arrives in Hawaii.
Each hour will be informally hosted by a variety of SMART volunteers and participants. The goal is to raise $2013.00 to help keep SMART Recovery Online up and running and to have a lot of fun. This is a very laid back event and will include:
● Trivia games
● Best movies, songs or moments of the year
● Just hanging out....
Both events are great ways to usher in clean and sober New Year. All are welcome.
