Imbesi Christensen Notified of UI Award in Favor of Firm's Client

Attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an employee who was denied unemployment insurance benefits after the Department of Labor determined employee quit without good cause.
 
Dec. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Correction: The initial press release incorrectly indicated the employee was terminated for misconduct.  The actual reason was voluntarily separation without good cause.  

The Honorable Susan Meyer issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after a hearing was conducted.  The decision overruled a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee voluntarily separated from employment without good cause . Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determination, disqualifying the claimant from receiving benefits effective August 25, 2012, on the basis that the claimant voluntarily separated from employment without good cause, is overruled.

The claimant is allowed benefits according to the above decision.
