Charity-driven, premium apparel brand Human Intonation adds to its comprehensive platform as Founder Verneda White takes on writing for Huffington Post
 
Dec. 3, 2012 - PRLog -- A new chapter has begun for charity-driven, premium apparel brand HUMAN INTONATION. The brand’s Founder and Creative Director, Verneda White has been tapped to join the Huffington Post’s Blog Team. Coming off the heels of weathering Hurricane Sandy, and the brand’s recent activities commemorating World AIDS Day 2012, Ms. White comes to the Huffington Post with initial topics ranging from social entrepreneurship and social change through fashion, to HIV/AIDS and ways to give back in times of natural disasters.

We are grateful to our supporters for recognizing Human Intonation’s complete body of work and hope to grow our reach in impacting the lives of others,” says White. Human Intonation’s national platform of using fashion as a vehicle to raise social awareness, related community events, and speaking engagements follow White’s personal experience with her family in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and the loss of her very close first cousin to AIDS. White first began designing men and women’s sustainable tees, tank tops, and dresses made from her own original patterns, to draw attention to re-building efforts in the Gulf Coast, and have since extended to education for children in Darfur, the citizens of Haiti, and an on-going campaign focused on youth & minority HIV/AIDS prevention. Human Intonation donates 20% of each sale to its non-profit partners including HandsOn New Orleans, Darfur Peace & Development, and Advocates for Youth, where White serves on the AFY Young Fundraising Advisory Board.
