TrioNAS LX U400Q Awarded Storage Networking Product of the Year at SVC Awards 2012
Qsan Technology Inc, an expert of iSCSI SAN RAID systems for enterprises and SMBs, announced that its TrioNAS LX U400Q unified storage is awarded Storage Networking Product of the Year at SVC Awards 2012.
TrioNAS LX U400Q is Qsan’s high-end ZFS-based unified storage model with inbuilt Intel® Xeon CPU. It consolidates supports iSCSI SAN and NAS so enterprises can run and manage files and applications in one device to reduce hardware requirements. Furthermore, the integration of Amazon S3 storage allows users to easily backup data into the cloud and, with just one click, disaster recovery can be fulfilled effortlessly.
ZFS File System
To provide better data integrity, TrioNAS LX U400Q adopts ZFS file system that employs copy-on-write transactional semantics to validate data stored under its protection to avoid data inconsistencies. The self-healing architecture enables the system to detect silent data corruption and correct error on the fly. In addition, users no longer need to predetermine the size of a file system since it grow automatically within the disk space allocated to the pool to save storage capacity. If the storage pool becomes overcrowded, user can even grow it on a live TrioNAS LX U400Q system.
Hardware RAID & SSD Caching
Beside traditional RAID design, TrioNAS LX U400Q offers excellent performance with hardware RAID and SSD caching. With hardware RAID, TrioNAS LX U400Q is more reliable and faster, while SSD caching allows customers to assign SSD as the system’s read/write cache to fully utilize the benefits of SSD for business-critical applications that require quick read/write speed and random I/O.
TrioNAS LX U400Q provides dedup, thin provisioning and compression allowing customers to save more at less cost. With U400Q dedup feature, customers can save storage capacity up to 90% while save TCO (total cost of ownership) up to 30%
The U400Q provides UnifiedAUTH feature to greatly increase the IT management simplicity. The patent-filing UnifiedAUTH technology is that any OS client (Windows, Linux, Mac, ftp, WebDAV) and iSCSI CHAP can log onto the U400Q device through a Microsoft Active Directory or LDAP authentication with a single log-in.
